Balaji Temple Fundraiser

Banquet Hall, Elmhurst, IL

"Our dance participated in the fundraising activities of Balaji (Venkateshwara) Temple at Arora, IL by performing two dances. One of the dances was fusion of all major classical dances from India performed by various dance teachers.

Dances at Summer Festival

China Town, Chicago, IL

China Town Summer Festival committee invited our dance school to perform and display Indian dances during there two day long annual summer festival. We performed various dances to entertain big crowd which included bollywood dancing, Kathak and hiphop style.

Dances at US Military Fair

US Military Office, Arlington Heights, IL

US Military invited our dance school to demonstrate Indian culture and food including Indian dances. Our enthusiastic dancers participated in the event and taught the crowd some steps of classical Indian dancing. Our booth was also decorated with Indian flag, posters, and food.

Dance at Secretary of State

Office of Secretary of State, Chicago, IL

Secretary of State, Jesse White's office invited us to perform at their beautiful bulding. The program was attended by Secretary of State and large number of office goers.

Asian American Festival

Dailey Center, Chicago, IL

For the third consecutive year our school was invited to perform at Asian American Festival in downtown Chicago. This was a prestigious event since it is attended by dignitaries from Mayor's office and so many people in busy business district. We performed bollywood songs wearing beautiful constumes and music.

Dance Program at Schaumburg Library

Central Library, Schaumburg, IL

The Schaumburg Central library invited us to perform a dance a program in their library. We performed more than seven dances including Ganapati Vandana, Bollywood dance and Rajasthani folk dance. The progra was attended in large numbers by library patrons and community leaders.

Asian Moth Celebration with Mayor Dailey

City Hall, Chicago, IL

To kick-off month long celebration of Asian American Heritage month, our dance school performed a dance at Chicago Mayor Daley's reception at City Hall. The dance was performed by Gauri Jog and her student and characterized by beautiful choreography, music and costume. The dance showed two friends dancing with joy on the onset of spring.

Indian Heritage Celebration

Sara Lee Headquarters, Downers Grove, IL

Sara lee company invited our dance school to perform on the occassion of celebration of Indian heritage. We performed several dances including Ganesh Vadana, pure classical Kathak, dance on Bollywood song and a dance on Indian folk song. We also did lecture demonstration on Kathak dance. The program ended with Sara lee employees learning steps to perform dance on popular song "Jai Ho".

Classical Dance Festival

Hindu Temple, Arora

Our students participated in this annual classical dance festival. We performed two dances, one depicting the story of Lord Krishna and Yashodha Maiyya and in the second dance our students danced on Taal Ektaal. The second dance was all about intimate relations and a bond between mother and daughter.

Shakuntala - An in house production

Prairie Center for The Arts, Schaumburg, IL

In a sold out performance of our in house production, "Shakuntala", Gauri Jog and her students amazed the audiance with beautiful choreography, magnificiat stage decoration and costumes, and music.
