My initiation in kathak was at a very young age;i first started taking my Kathak lessons from my mother Smt Alaka Rahalkar,who herself took extensive training from Guru Rohiniji;after intial training i learnt kathak from Great Guru Late Pt Rohinji Bhate by Guru Shishya Parampara methord;for last few years i am also taking training from another great Guru Pt Rajendraji Gangani.Because of these Guru's blesssings,i could achieve Nritya Visharad,Nritya Alankar with flying colours.I have performed in many places in India and also performed abroad.I have my own institution of kathak in pune called Srushti Kathak Kendra.I have also taken training in Hindustani Vocal music and acheived Sangeet Visharad with good marks aswell.I have choreographed many solo aswell as duets and group items.I enjoy performing aswell as choreographing.I more enjoy giving solo performances.

Rajendra Chaturvedi is a dynamic and a versatile dancer who has carved a special niche for himself in the field of Kathak.His innate sense of rhythm,graceful yet fast paced movements and subtle facial expression are some of the qualities that give a new dimension to Kathak, making him one of the finest exponents of this dance style. Apart from being an active performer,Rajendra Chaturvedi is also an authorized Bollywood choreographer as well as an authentic teacher of Kathak in the pure classical style of the Banaras Gharana (Gopi Krishna & Sitara Devi Style) at the Institute of Natraj Gopi Krishna. Enormous number of students have learnt kathak under Rajendra Chaturvedi’s guidance, including many well known personalities like Kangana Ranaut, Jiah Khan, Bruna Abdullah, Adah Sharma, Jaqueline Fernandes, Mona Basu, Ulka Gupta, Miss India Pooja Chopra, Terence Lewis (Choreographer), Niharica Raizada (Miss India Worldwide 2010), Diana Penty(Cocktail Actress)

Madan Pande - Kathak

Chetan Saraiya, Kathak dancer, choreographer, performer and director of Nrityatapasya Institute. Basic training under Guru Smt. Ashalata Parker and advance training under Guru Smt. Asha Joglekarji. He completed alankaar in Kathak from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharwa Mahavidyalaya, Miraj and pursue gold medal in MFA in Kathak from Sarfojiraje Bhosale Centers Bharata College of fine arts and culture under Kalidas University (Silver medal). Taking guidance and also participating in workshops of Guru Puru Dadhich of Indore. Attending workshops of Pt. Birju Maharajji, Pt. Pratap Pawarji, Smt. Roshan Datye, Smt. Manjiri De, etc. Performed in various festivals for example, National level Kinkini Festival of 2011 and various festivals of Archana Nrityalaya. Running own institute from last 10 years for providing guidance and training to new comer in the field of Kathak dance in the name of NRITYA TAPASYA. Under this institutes providing full fledge training and guidance to more than 50 students from my various centers located at Vasai, Nallasopara, Mira Road and Walkeshwar in Mumbai. Training provided from Prarambhik to Alankaar in Kathak.From last 5 years working as a examiner for Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj, in Mumbai.

Kathak, the free flowing Dance of North India and Odissi, a Dance with lyrical grace and alive temple culture. Samruddhi Vaibhav Joshi performs both these dance styles with equal dexterity and virtuosity. After initial training of Kathak under Shri. Bode Sir in Amravati. She went on to receive the valued guidance of Smt. Damayanti Joshi. In the Odissi realm she has been learning under Guru Mohan Bode in Amravati & Mrs. Zelam Paranjape in Mumbai and has further honed her skills with the renowned Guru Shri. Kelucharan Mohapatra. With her large expressive eyes and graceful movements Samruddhi brings forth the splendor of Kathak and divine grace of Odissi. A rare combination of talent, intellect and beauty, Samruddhi has strong command over both the Nritta and Nritya aspects of dance, enhanced by a vivacious stage presence.

Shambhavi Vaze - Kathak

Over last twenty years I have been taking systematic training from my Guru Padmashree Roshanji. I am propagating Jaipur dance style in Thane and Kalyan. With this aim I have founded Nrityadhara Kathak Research Institute. I have performed solo Kathak at various places in India like NCPA- Mumbai, Kathak Kendra- Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Kolkatta when my Guru received “Surabh Award” and Mahua Gujrat when my Guru received “Hanumant Award” etc were the major occasions. And along with my students performed at various other parts of India and major dance festivals in US, Korea, China, Combodia and Mauritius. Also presented dances based on novel concepts but always careful about not to cross the boundaries of tradition. My experiments in Tribhangima, in which I have presented artistic combination of three dance styles, and Jugalbandi of kathak and lawani won accolades. Also worked as an assistant choreographer for renowned director Shyam Bengal's film Saradari Begum. Founded Nritydhara which conducts different types of activities for promotion of Kathak and music arts of India, by conducting lectures, demonstrations, workshops and performances of senior and experienced artists. Nrityadhara also organizes programs of young and upcoming artists.
